The editor of this blog currently lives in Toronto, Ontario after having lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Vancouver, British Columbia.There was also a five month detour to Barcelona, Spain in the mix where dreams of running a business on the Mediterranean died after running up against the cold hard realities of profitability and an uncompromising business culture. Barcelona is a beautiful city though and if I could figure out a way to make it work—I might go back!

My paid employment during my adult life has consisted of various positions in the capital markets group of several Canadian Banks. Not wanting to work in a head office environment meant that I was free to work in cities where there was less competition and a better lifestyle. But alas the siren song of better money and family commitments drew me back to my home province of Ontario.

Despite the winter weather I am enjoying my time here.

This blog is my attempt to combine my part time career as a web publisher with my full time job in the financial industry. Despite the sometimes chaotic work schedule of the latter I look forward to commenting on  current financial events and offering video and audio commentaries from investors and speculators that I respect.

The latter is another way of saying is I will share commentary from people who’s opinion’s count–as this is the best way I know to filter out the “noise.”
